Clean Sweep For Greene King At Food Innovation Awards

Greene King, the UK’s largest pub retailer and brewer, won four awards at this year’s Menu Innovation and Development Awards (MIDAS), which went ahead on 9th March.

The business beat off strong competition across to win across three categories for the Autumn/Winter menus of its Chef & Brewer, Hungry Horse and Greene King Locals brands, which took home Branded Pub Restaurant, Value Pub Restaurant and Neighbourhood Pub awards.

Greene King Food Director Kevin Harper was also celebrated as Head of Food of the Year for his outstanding contribution to the industry.

Rooney Anand, Greene King chief executive said: “At Greene King, we pride ourselves on offering a great experience for our customers, and food is a really important part of that. We’re delighted that this commitment has been recognised by the industry through these awards. They reflect the hard work and dedication of our teams, expertly led by Kevin, who take our food offering from inception right the way through and onto customers’ plates.”

The awards were created in 2009 to celebrate the creative talents of menu development managers and group executive chefs within multi-unit and chain restaurants in the foodservice industry.
