British country house hotel group, Exclusive Hotels and Venues, has launched its Cookery School, SEASON, located within the impressive 63-acre grounds of Lainston House, an Exclusive Hotel near Winchester, Hampshire.
SEASON features a state-of-the-art kitchen area with six double sided workstations incorporating the latest Gaggenau equipment and Bulthaup kitchen furniture along with a demonstration table for theory and presentations.
Offering a range of classes designed to appeal to novice and confident home cooks with the desire to challenge and hone their chef skills, SEASON presents classes on show-stopping roast meats, bread making, jams, marmalades and chutneys, chocolate, perfect desserts, knife skills and the art of Charcuterie.
Each full or half day course will be delivered by the award-winning chefs within the Exclusive kitchens including Olly Rouse, Head Chef at The Avenue, Lainston House (3 AA Rosettes), Richard Davies, Executive Chef at The Bybrook, The Manor House, (1 Michelin Star and 3 AA Rosettes), Matt Gillan Head Chef at The Pass, South Lodge (1 Michelin Star and 4 AA Rosettes) and Head Chef Michael Wignall at The Latymer (2 Michelin Stars and 5 AA Rosettes) and Head Pastry Chef of The Bakery Denis Drame, (Master of Culinary Arts), both at Pennyhill Park.
Local Hampshire producers and suppliers to the Exclusive kitchens as well as highly regarded chefs from the region, including Jennifer Williams from the Naked Jam Company and former MasterChef: The Professionals winner, Steven Edwards at Etch, will also take part in delivering SEASON’s class programme. With the addition of a beautifully designed dining room, guests of SEASON will be able to sample their creations with the chefs, offering a true plot-to-pot-to-plate, memorable experience.

SEASON will offer guests full and half day cookery classes as well as gastronomical overnight breaks at Lainston House. Classes are available from £75 for a half day and from £155-£185 per person for a full day for up to 24 people.
SEASON, The Exclusive Cookery School is situated in a characterful 17th century oak-beamed Grade II listed well house within the grounds at Lainston House, next to the hotel’s extensive walled kitchen garden which supplies much of the hotel’s fruits, vegetables and herbs.
