Mildenhall’s Spice Lounge Restaurant Brings Home The Double Gold In The English Curry Awards 2016

MildenhallNationally acclaimed ‘English Curry Awards 2016’ brings success for the Spice Lounge restaurant.

Mildenhall’s very own Spice Lounge Indian Restaurant has claimed victory at the national English Curry Awards, being awarded first place in two separate categories.

Awarded first place in both the ‘Service of the Year – East’ and also ‘Chef of the Year – South’ with Spice Lounge head chef, Ansar Ali, claiming first place. The Spice Lounge Restaurant received their awards at a black-tie event held in Manchester’s Picadilly on the 22nd of August. Attended by over 300 guests from across the industry, the awards marked the most eagerly anticipated event on the English food calendar.

Spice Lounge Director, Jay Ali, commented: “Winning at the English Curry Awards was the proudest day for me and my team at Spice Lounge. We cannot thank our customers enough for nominating us.”

Ali continued “Our success is down to our dedicated team, our Head Chef has been with us since opening and all of our team are trained to the highest of standards. Spice Lounge will use this success as motivation for even bigger success in the future. We hope Mildenhall and the locality is proud as this is also a success for our local community.”

Having claimed first place in two categories in the national awards, the Spice Lounge can proudly add the victory to their previously won recognition for excellence in the Asian Curry Awards, British Curry Awards and the Tiffin Club Cup in 2015.
