From 11th – 22nd March 2016, a group of philanthropic Springboard supporters will travel to Peru and embark on a gruelling 5 day trek. Immediately afterwards, Springboard’s intrepid trekkers will take part in a local school community project that will help improve the lives of young people in a remote village by delivering an organised educational and community project.
Camping along the way, trekkers will not only test their endurance, but help a remote school by installing solar panels, teaching computer skills and English lessons. The trekkers will also be raising money to improve the lives of young people who face difficulties and barriers into employment in hospitality, in the UK. Our last trek to Little Tibet raised over £125,000 which meant Springboard were able to help over 75 more young people overcome their challenges and get into life changing employment in hospitality.
“The trip was challenging both physically and emotionally, it enabled us to not only help kids in the UK but make a huge difference to 22 young lives in Little Tibet. I would definitely recommend this trek to everyone.” Gaynor Black, GB Hospitality
This is a once in a life-time opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives as the funds raised will improve young people’s prospects for a better future, both at home and in Peru.
