The Castle Green Hotel Celebrate 20th Anniversary And A £200,000 Investment

The Castle Green Hotel in Kendal have proudly celebrated their 20th anniversary and are set to continue their investment in both the property and their local community. Ben Mayou, General Manager, Castle Green Hotel said, “The Lake District is full of venues making it a very competitive market place.  Castle Green is just outside the national park so over the years we’ve developed our packages to ensure we offer something different to those lakeside properties. Our Greenhouse restaurant now boasts 2 AA rosettes, we’ve grown to 99 bedrooms, offer gym and pool facilities, extensive conference facilities and have just won Best Westerns Associate Hotel of the Year, it’s been a fantastic 20 years!’

The only four star hotel in Kendal are set to continue their developments with the full refurbishment of Alexander’s which will be complete in 2019, further investment in management programmes for their staff and further refurbishments across the business, totalling to a £200,000 investment.

Beyond financial investment, Castle Green celebrate 20 years of continued support and investment in the local community. This year the hotel are set to enter another decade supporting local charities that hold events at the hotel, to which they offer a prize raffle, free room hire and discounted packages. They will be hosting a fundraiser in partnership with the Kendal Torchlight committee on June the 7th plus their continued support of Kendal Christmas Light Switch On, Kendal college and local schools throughout the year.

Mayou continued, “We’ve seen so many changes over the past 20 years. None of this would have been possible without our fantastic team. They are the talented, passionate force that make Castle Green what it is and we are incredibly lucky to have them on board. This year we also have four team members who are celebrating 20 years of service with us too!”
