Live Events To Inspire At The Bar & Pub Hub

InspireThe Bar & Pub Show launches this year, the event will run alongside The Restaurant Show on 3 – 5 October at Olympia London.  At the heart of this new dedicated trade event is the Bar & Pub Hub, the place to see live demonstrations, debates and discussions featuring some of the industry’s most successful names. This special live hub is entirely devoted to the bar and pub sector and the issues that matter to this long-established industry.

The Bar & Pub Hub presents the chance to get to grips with what’s going on across the industry as a whole with the latest research on the pub sector revealed live on stage by Simon Stenning of insight and intelligence providers MCA Foodservice. Plus, hear from a leading Pub Company on the new managed expert approach for pubs.

There will also be insights and wisdom from celebrated author, Pete Brown, who has written extensively on beer and drinking cultures around the world. Hear first-hand from Pete on the elusive ingredients that make a great pub something really special.

The bar and pub sector has some terrific success stories, none more impressive than that of Stephen Harris, who turned a ‘grotty rundown pub by the sea’ into one of the country’s best restaurants. The Chef Patron of The Sportsman will be answering your questions live on stage at the Bar & Pub Hub. The secrets of Dominic Chapman’s soaring career are set to be unveiled as he talks about how his passion for food has inspired his journey from working at The Fat Duck and Heston Blumenthal’s Hinds Head in Bray, to winning a Michelin star and launching his own pub and restaurant, The Beehive. Get a taste of his success as he serves up some of his signature dishes live on stage too.

The key to great pub cooking will be revealed at the Bar & Pub Hub with celebrity chef, pub owner and co-presenter of C4’s Sunday Brunch, Simon Rimmer. This unmissable demonstration will see Simon cooking up some of his signature dishes straight from the menus of his successful north west pubs.

Also on the menu is the chance to sample a few of the delicious dishes that helped to put The Star Inn’s Chef Patron, Andrew Pern on the culinary map. A session called ‘It’s the drink talking’ with Thinking Drinkers, Ben McFarland and Tom Sandham, promises to be an enlightening occasion. The award-winning drinks writers and comedy performers will talk you through how building interest in premium brands starts with the stories you tell about them behind the bar.
