Manchester Hotels Offer Rooms To Victims Following Terror Attack

Manchester hotels, along with the general public are offering those caught up in the Manchester Arena terror attack lifts home and rooms for the night.

22 people have been killed and 50 others injured after an explosion at a sold-out Ariana Grande concert.

As many as 21,000 fans, many of whom were children and teenagers attended the concert.

As details of the attack began to emerge, hashtags such as #RoomForManchester started trending on Twitter and Facebook.

There have been a number of posts circulating on social media about dozens of children being taken to the Holiday Inn Express last night, however a spokeswoman for the hotel has confirmed there were no unaccompanied children brought there. A statement said:

“Our hotels were working closely with the emergency services through the night and are working alongside with the police. A couple of our hotels in the wider area did offer a place to stay. In terms of children being brought to that hotel, on Goadsby Road, that was incorrect.”

An emergency number, 0161 856 9400, has been established for anyone who is concerned for loved ones who may not have returned home.
