Malmesbury based brewery, The Flying Monk Brewery have launched an exclusive members club. To celebrate, the brewery hosted a VIP Food & Drink Festival complete with cider sausages and a visit from Elmer himself!
On Friday 23rd September The Flying Monk Brewery welcomed dozens of people through their doors to celebrate the launch of their new membership card with a locally sourced and supported Food & Drink Festival.
The festival ran between 3pm – 8pm at their Hullavington based brewery with support from local businesses The Sherston Wine Company, Thomas of Malmesbury Butchers, Brinkworth Dairy and Angells Mobile Catering.
As well as sampling award winning beers and ciders, including the new Skorpion Black – the world’s first black cider, festival goers enjoyed a tour of the brewery and their new shop, followed by a tasty treat, a one off concoction of Birdman beer sausages and Scorpion Black cider sausages.
The event was rounded off with a surprise visit from Elmer, Malmesbury’s very own, legendary flying monk, whom the brewery is proudly named after.*
Speaking after the event, Kevin Newbould, Managing Director commented, “The membership club launch was a tremendous success! It was a pleasure to welcome so many new and familiar faces to the brewery. There was a real mix of people, from regular customers to local businesses as well as valued pubs and suppliers.”
