The Restaurant Show is back at London Olympia from 2nd to 4th October 2017 and registration is now open at www.therestaurantshow.co.uk. Celebrating its 29th year, it isthe place to be for the hospitality industry to discover innovation, learn about new trends, see success and be inspired by over 450 exhibitors.
Visitors will be able to access four exciting shows under one roof and enjoy the opportunity to update their business knowledge, develop their skills, watch some of the biggest industry competitions in the live theatre and network with peers. Running alongside The Restaurant Show will be TheBar & Pub Show, Conscious Hospitality Show and Catering Equipment Expo.
Each year The Stage brings in the ‘best of the best’ with its programme of inspirational workshops, lively debates and interviews and culinary demonstrations hosted by a world-class line-up. Sessions to look out for include the daily Business Insights panels with OpenTable, where leading experts get to the heart of the issues that matter most to today’s restaurant industry. During the trend-watching session with MCA, Simon Stenning will reveal what is set to shake up the industry over the next 12 months.
To learn from some of the biggest names in food and drink,visitors should also head to the Bar & Pub Hub. Over the full three days it will host more masterclasses, panel debates anddemos all designed specifically for the pub and bar sector.
Those who want to put their drinks knowledge to the test should head to the IWC Discovery Tasting zone. This is the best place to uncover up-and-coming producers whose interesting and unique wines will add something different to your wine list.
On Tuesday 3rd October, visitors will be able to watch the live finals of The National Chef of the Year competition. It has been running since 1972 and is one of the UK’s most respected and sought after culinary titles, recognising top talent in the chef community. The winner of the 2018 title will be revealed at The Stage alongside the announcement of the Young National Chef of the Year winner.
The Competition Theatre will constantly be buzzing as it hosts more culinary competitions during the show, including the Kikkoman Masters, the Junior, Apprentice and Senior Compass Chef of the Year and the UK Pastry Open.
Back for 2017 are the Great New Idea Awards. In the build-up to the shows, visitors will vote for their favourite product innovation from exhibitors. A combination of public votes and expert panels, will decide which exhibitor takes home thetitle. Exhibitors come from every sector, from food and drink to furniture, EPoS and technology to tableware, workwear and more. They will be on-hand to reveal their latest and greatest products designed to help hospitality businesses succeed.

The Restaurant Show team works closely with the Restaurant Magazine’s ‘The World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ and the ‘National Restaurant Awards’ Top 100 to secure renowned restaurateurs and chefs.
