OpenTable has released its annual list of the top 100 restaurants in the UK, based on more than one million reviews left by verified diners.
This year’s number one spot is taken by Notting Hill based CORE by Clare Smyth for the second year in a row. This multi-award-winning restaurant celebrates the finest British ingredients and produce, giving customers an exceptional and relaxed dining experience.
Following from last year, British food (19%) continues to dominate the top 100 above its main competitor, Modern European (12%), as diners look to enjoy tastes from closer to home.
When it comes to the crème-de-la-crème of UK dining, London holds nine out of ten spots in this year’s top 10, for the second year running, with Birmingham’s Gaijin Sushi making its way into eighth place. Although London represents 77% of the list this year, it sees a drop from 81% compared to 2018, as prestigious restaurants from Bristol, Manchester and Newcastle work their way onto the list.
CORE by Clare Smyth, Trinity and Scott’s Restaurant maintain their top 10 status from last year with new entries including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Brawn and The Five Fields.
