The business which operates the restaurant estate of Marco Pierre White has hailed the Government Eat Out to Help Out (EOHO) scheme a huge success.
The team at Marco Pierre White Restaurants, which is the operating division of Black and White Hospitality, is now looking to carry the momentum generated by EOHO into the Autumn as sentiment to dine out continues to increase.
Dave Daniels-Ekarte, operations director at Black and White Hospitality said: “We have served in-excess of 30,000 covers across the 21 restaurants that were open in August, with strong week-on-week growth from the launch of the scheme.
“Once we were able to reopen, there was naturally a little trepidation to eat out, however what EOHO helped dissipate was customers’ concerns regarding dining in a safe environment. Once they had visited any of our sites, they felt comfortable having witnessed the measures that had been put in place.
“This then transcended into weekend covers which have also increased week on week throughout August and is really encouraging to see.
“It has also helped significantly with the mood of all the teams involved which can be best described as being buoyant.
“We are now looking to continue this momentum into September and the Autumn and want our customers to feel reassured we’ve done all we can to provide them with a safe dining environment as well as menus that will appeal for those looking to enjoy a delicious meal out”.
